Holiday Home Conditions of Hire
- The period of hire for the Caravan is from 4pm on day of arrival to 10am on day of departure. Arrivals after 6pm must be notified. Caravans not occupied by noon the following day may be re-let if no notification is received or payment not received in full.
- Report to Reception on arrival. The numbers in your party must be stated at the time of booking and must not exceed the number of berths in the Caravan. Only persons and pets declared on the booking form will be accommodated. Any guests or visitors must be reported to reception on arrival. Cars Must NOT be parked on the grass at all, please use the Parking Area Provided.
- Well behaved dogs* are permitted in selected Caravans, (*excluding dangerous breeds) - this must be advised when booking - and restricted to 2, which must not be left unattended in the Caravan at any time. Dog owners must bring the dog’s own dishes, bedding/basket and keep their pets off beds/upholstery/soft furnishings in the Caravan. Do not use the Caravan utensils ie tin opener/spoons for dog food. Dogs must be kept on a short lead whilst on the Park at all times. Dogs must be exercised off the Park. A charge per pet per week will be made (up to a maximum of 2 pets) Guide Dogs are exempt from these charges.
- Cats are NOT permitted.
- Bookings made by persons under 18 cannot be accepted. All children must be given suitable supervision by parents/guardians throughout the hire period. It is important that parents/guardians always know where their children are and that they are not left unattended in the Caravan. Ball games are not permitted in the vicinity of Caravans.
- All male or all female parties under the age of 25 will only be allowed to hire the Caravan at the absolute discretion of the Park Manager whose decision is final.
- All prices include VAT but these may be varied at anytime in the event of a change of rate of VAT or introduction of any tax or any bank charges and other costs we may incur if payment is made in a foreign currency or if we have to represent a cheque.
- Prices subject to change without prior notification.
- If you pay by credit/debit card, you agree to pay a percentage of the total to Streamline Merchant Services, for handling services it provides to you. The total amount paid is the same however you pay.
- The deposit is payable at the time of booking and is non-refundable, provisional bookings are only held for 10 days after the initial contact. The balance is payable 28 days before the arrival date for all methods of payment. If the balance has not been received by the due date your booking may be cancelled and the Caravan offered for hire without notification. For bookings made within the 28 days prior to your start date, you will be required to pay the full hire charge when you make your booking, unless we specifically agree otherwise.
- If you cancel, the deposit will not be refunded. Short Breaks are non-refundable. If cancellation is made before the balance is due, we will relieve you of all responsibility to pay the balance and will refund you the balance should this have been paid; the balance will be refunded in the manner in which it was paid. If cancellation is made subsequently to a change of holiday date any refund will be made in accordance with the earlier balance due date. If you cancel after the 28 day balance due date you forfeit the full amount.
- Special Offers are subject to our normal Terms and Conditions, any exceptions to these will be stated in the individual Offer's own Terms and Conditions. All Special Offers are Non-Refundable, unless otherwise stated.
- We provide sheets, pillows, pillowcases, duvets and covers or blankets. We do not provide soap, towels or other bathroom and kitchen requisites
- Due to new anti-smoking laws, smoking is not permitted in any of our caravans. Customers and their guests are required to refrain from smoking inside all static caravans. Failure to do so will result in the hirer of the caravan being asked to leave without recompense.
- If a Cot is required this is provided free of charge and subject to availability. Only the Cot and Mattress are provided, we do not provide Cot Bedding or Bedlinen.
- No illegal substances or offensive weapons may be brought onto the Park. No firearms/air rifles may be brought onto the Park without the Park Managers approval, all safety and security precautions MUST be taken at all times.
- No GOLF Practice permitted on the Park, this includes Practice Swings without golf balls.
- For safety of all, there is a speed limit of 5 mph on the Park. Any person exceeding this limit, or driving with undue care, shall be removed from the site with immediate effect and without recompense.
- The Management are entitled to refuse a reservation or hand over the Caravan to any person who in their opinion is not suitable to take charge. In such cases all deposits shall be refunded in full and the booking agreement will be discharged.
- The management also reserve the right to expel without recompense, any person for conduct that is detrimental to the Caravan/Park or the well being and safety of other Park visitors and staff or the Caravan itself, this includes customers or customers who allow their guests to smoke inside the static caravans. All damages etc must be paid for.
- We reserve the right to enter the Caravan under special circumstances or emergencies, to inspect the Caravan or to carry out safety checks etc. Please note that no air vents what so ever can be sealed off under any circumstances.
- Hirers/Occupants must undertake to keep their Caravan and laundry area in a clean and tidy condition during the period of their occupancy and must leave the Caravan and laundry area in the condition in which they would wish to find them.
- Hirers/Occupants will be charged for any damage, breakages and any extra cleaning expenses incurred. Lost Caravan keys will be charged for.
- Dornoch Firth Caravan Park and its employees shall not be liable for any loss, damage to or theft from any Caravan or other property, nor for any injury, accident or mishap to any person on the Park, unless the same be caused or contributed to by any negligence or default on the part of Dornoch Firth Caravan Park or its employees. You should be insured for your property and any unforeseen eventuality. By occupying our Caravan, you accept responsibility for it and it’s equipment throughout the period of hire.
- Musical instruments, TVs and radios, cassette players etc and all motor vehicles must not be used to cause nuisance to others especially between the hours of 10.30pm and 8am.
- A copy of the Park rules is available in the Caravan and on display in reception. All holidaymakers are expected to read and respect the rules during their stay and note that the management reserve the right to make changes to the rules or prices at any time. Payment of a deposit constitutes accepting these responsibilities for all members of your party.
- Left belongings can be returned by arrangement and pre-payment of a handling and administration charge of £10 plus postage and packing otherwise they will be disposed of after 14 days.
- These rules are intended to ensure all our guests enjoy their holiday at Dornoch Firth Caravan Park and wish to return again to savour our unique atmosphere, location and beautiful surroundings.
It is a condition of hire that you accept the rules which are for the benefit of all.
